Heavy Rain or Uncharted 2?

Since I'm new in ps3. I'm really confused for choosing one of these. I want buy a new game. Both of them is great, and have excellent graphics. But I can only buy one. So which one I should buy?

One more thing. I'm 15 years old. Am I old enough to try Heavy Rain?

No Heavy Rain is a rated M title and is meant for ages 17+. Wait two more years before you play it.

Get uncharted 2 since it is good single player and multiplayer. It is also rated T for Teen.

Uncharted 2 is an overall more complete package, but it all comes down to what kind of experience you want to get from the game you'll buy.

Oh and by the way, you should post threads like these in the games recommendation sticky, at the top of the forum. :)

played both extensively and Uncharted 2 is by far and away the better choice for purchase.

What difference would it make? Everybody is not the same at a certain age... It's up to his parents to decide really, not you...

I would say go for Heavy Rain.

Today I restarted playing Uncharted 2 online, man, I completely forgot how awesome U2 online was. I would put HR purchase on hold based on your age, but you should get a soon as you can afford after getting Uncharted 2, HR have one of the best story in video games to date.

From what i've heard Heavy Rain is mostly an interactive movie for the majority of the game and very little gameplay. I would go Uncharted 2.

both of them rule, but uncharted 2 is longer and has multiplayer. so it might suit u better

I would go with Uncharted 2 myself.

If you want something to last you longer, go with Uncharted 2-- the multiplayer will keep you coming back for more. Heavy Rain is rather short and besides playing through again to see alternate scenes and paths, their isn't anything else to really do, albeit time spent will be fun. You should just wait till Heavy Rain drops in price. At least to maybe a 40 dollar margain.

Heavy Rain I think is better. It has a much more dark and serious tone though, so that keep in mind.

didnt play heavy rain but played uncharted 2 and its a must have ps3 game.

I own both games. Uncharted 2 has WAY more replay value then Heavy Rain. I actuallygot hooked on playing HRuntilI beat it, then played again until i got my Platinum trophy for it. Uncharted 2 has alot of action, adventure and all that fun stuff you can find in a good game. Heavy Rain is like a suspense/drama/movie type of game, but i found HR funner imo. I'd say get both, but if you can only get one, get Uncharted. Great replay value, Online multiplayer, and tons of stuff to do after you beat the game. Once you're done with HR...well that's it you're done lol. Oh and HR has nudity so wouldn't recommend it

Uncharted 2 cause Rated teen and one of the best games of 2009.

But however many kids have M rated games, their parnets buy for them. Remember Modern Warfare 2 anyone?

Both are incredible games, but go with Heavy Rain. It's a unique experience in my opinion. And there's nothing in Heavy Rain that you wouldn't find in a R-rated movie, so it's fine. Assuming you are allowed to watch R-rated movies that is. Just some violence, nudity, and a bit of gore.

Even though you aren't old enough to buy Heavy Rain I'd say Uncharted 2 is better and has much more replayability. Definitely get Uncharted 2, if you even are somewhat interested in single-player games and you like multiplayer you will love Uncharted 2.

Uncharted 2 (and 1) is an amazing game. Actually, I am a huge fan of Action/Adventure games. Also, I haven't tried Heavy Rain, yet, but I strongly recommend you to buy Uncharted 2. You won't regret it.

He specifically asked could he buy it and said his age range. Instead of asking his parents he asked us. I can already tell the supposed maturity you speak of is debatable between him and his folks, but the ESRB clearly states M games are 17+. Logically the only one he can get is uncharted 2, which I believe he will have more fun with since it has more replay value and multiplayer.

So before making a snide comment about "his parents should decide his maturity", keep in mind he asked, and I delivered it thusly. He will egt the same answer from any video game retail store clerk that tries to sell him an M rated game.

I'd say play Uncharted 2

You should play the first Uncharted first, then play the sencond one. So I would say save some money and buy the first one, if you like it buy the second one. If you don't like it then opt for Heavy Rain.

I would go with UC2 first asthe online allows for a lot more hours of gaming(co-op is a lot of fun). The SP is really a toss-up since they are totally different games but they are both good and have great stories. I would get UC2 first and then pick up HR when you can afford it. I would definitely get HR also later down the roadas they are both great games.

Both are worth the price of admission. I'm personally gonna wait for both to hit GH price, but that's just me. I wouldn't worry about the ESRB rating too much, it's more of a guideline. It's not exactly an enforced law like a legal drinking age. Children definitely should not play Heavy Rain, but you're fine.

I only own Uncharted 2 and I really enjoyed it. Very engaging storyline and fun to play in a group (The Sony commericals weren't joking: it basically is a movie). I haven't really looked into Heavy Rain that much, but from the little I've seen, the mature themes are a bit of a deterrance.

Out of the two I would definitely go for Uncharted 2.

Rent Heavy Rain but buy Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

UC2. Heavy rain is a bit too mature, especially with the nudity. UC2 is more of a summer blockbuster film than Heavy Rain being a dark noir 1960s kind of film.

Regardless of your age, Uncharted 2 should be picked up first before Heavy Rain. UC2 is perfection, Heavy Rain is amazing.
