Hello Guys/Gals ...
I have just read a forums in so many sites about the prerendering in the games is ( illegal ) .
They said that ( Heavy Rain ) video is preredndered . And it wasn't the real-time look for PS3 . And they Quantic Dreams ( the Company ) are busted about the prerendering in the game . It wasn't a really real-time casting video ?
Does the game gonna miss this wonderful graphics if it's without the prerendering ?
Is there gonna be any problem to get this game in 2008 ?

The link I just read :
http://www.britishgaming.co.uk/?p=857

Help please with this amazing game !

Theres like virtually nothing known about this game besides that one video. =(

I'd like to hear more news about development and not how the company tricked everyone (shame on them!). But i still believe that eventually the PS3 can achieve real-time graphics like that, Killzone is already getting there.

This game has great potential and it'll be interesting to see how it turns out, with gameplay and everything. So yea, I'll support the game! =D

Well I liked Indigo Prohecy and thought the graphics were great.

So from Quantic I expect the same.

the studio who are making the game said the video was a "real-time 3D prototype technology demo" and it's not illegal to use pre-rendered video. it against hte law in the UK (i think, not sure tho, it's somewhere over seas tho) to use pre rendered CG video in commercials advertising video games now.

Did you even read the other posts in that topic? The "illegal" act you are talking about is using pre-rendered cutscenes to advertise a game (also mentioed by Bustos86). This happened with Call of Duty 2.

The footage shown for Heavy Rain was a concept design to show was the PS3 was capable of and as far as we know it was realtime.
