Heavy Rain U.S. Box art **Updated**

**UPDATE** I guess Sony took notice to all the people complaining and will be doing something about it. they'll be providing a printable version of the EU box art.

It's pretty terrible imo. I wish they just used the European Box art instead. what do you guys think?

Definitely the EU Boxart.

European box art is better.

I like the U.S. version it's like the European version but more lol (obviously)

I like it, though the EU one does look better.

It's just the boxart anyway, so it's not that big of a deal.

EU boxart wins. US boxart design emphasizes the girl TOO MUCH, all the guy behind her are like non existent or just for show. I was like:

1. Stare it as a whole
2. start from left, okay a decent looking agent
3. whoa, a standout nice looking girl
4. proceed down to read Heavy... wait oh nice rack– Rain and look at the rack again
5. proceed all the way down, hey nice origami...
6. look back at the girl, oh two more guys but ugly
7. look back at the girl from top to all the way down, nice.

I prefer the European but that's not bad. I'm still considering importing the CE from UK but I don't know anywhere that sells it and ships to the US.Texas2089

They probably figured Americans would rather look at a girl in a tank top than a piece of folded paper.

You know, Japan Studio was talking about how the horrible US cover of ICO was partly to blame for it's failure. You'd think Sony would have learned their lesson, but no. You have a beautifuly simple and dramatic cover, then you decide to paste a couple characters on it.

A cover goes a long way in creating perceptions in a person's mind about a game, whether you realize it or not, and this looks cheap and unoriginal.

ima be too busy playin the game to notice the box art, seriously half of u complain( no offense) for somethin that is simply pointless to complain about, its the GAME IN THE BOX u should be worried about not the damn box art. anyways im excited about this game and cant wait!JoKeR_421

Yeah, but when you're browsing the game selection at your local game store, the cover art is a major factor on whether or not you pick a game up and take a closer look. Of course, most of us on here are informed and know what games are worth buying, but not everyone is.

Anyway, I happen to be a graphic designer, so it bugs me a little more than most :P Of course, game covers are generally pretty bad, so it's not that big of a deal, I'm just more mad that they changed it. The official US cover they released a few weeks ago was fine. BTW, where is the link? Is this really official?

lol, true, i guess ur right. im in college to, studying to be a graphics designer myself. u see i didnt mean that they should just tak eit as it is, which one good point u mentioned is that some of us are informed and some arent and they might look at the cover and say wtf? and pass on it. but id assume they at least look at the back cover and read more lol, or go rent it. either way u do have a good point i do back u up on it. but i kinda meant u shouldnt really judge its book by its cover sayin u know lol. damn the euro box art is way better, at least the game will kick ass.

So from the boxarts I can conclude that Europeans prefer abstract, mystery and puzzles

and Americans: drama, crime, action

I wish it the EU cover had the font style of the US one.

Well this is what that GI article meant about Americans preferring to see some characters instead of a cover that coveys the mood or a plot point from the game. EU boxart is better.Legolas_Katarn

Both of them look good, but I do prefer the European one. Good thing I will get the one I like then. :P

I'm very happy about the European box art. Definitely much better than the US one. And I see ESRB finally rated the game. Took them long enough...NotAFurry
