Hello I am new to PSN and I was wondering?

Ok so before i signed up for PSN I played all of my shooters on the xbox I stoped doing that because i was tired of paying 60 dollers every year just to play online.So i was wondering is PSN not as good as live? I say this because I tried to play MW2 today on PSN and it was laggy and I was contantly getting droped from games.Maby its my connection but is PSN inferior to live?

It probably might be your connection. I don't suffer any lag problems on the majority of online games, specially MW2.

I owned a 360 for two years and just purchased my PS3 last November, I can honestly say I see no difference in Online.

it could be a hardware problem with your ps3.

me and my roommate both have release models and we play online and he often gets d/c whilst ill be still playing.

It is probably your connection, when I play online the only time I can't really connect or have lag is on Red Dead Rdemption. But, the reason for that is because of your NAT setting, which I do not know how to fix. You should check your NAT setting. If it is 3 then that is bad, you want 2 or 1.
