I recently change my PS3 Hard Drive with a new Samsung 320GB one but now the PS3 is taking a lot of time to boot, even today when i turned it on the screen was all black and the Hard Drive indicator light was off. Can i take it out and reinsert it into the same console to see if it's not well connected without losing all my data.

You can take it out and put the same one back in again without having to reformat.

Yes, you can take it out without losing any data (unless you reformat it). If you're really worried about losing data, back it up on a USB drive or external HDD.
