HELP!!! cant get a signal....

Hey i was in a mates house and brought my PS3 with me, as you do. he's got a HD tv so we had it hooked up with a HDMI cable, it looks WICKED.......i got back to my place today and hooked it back up to my dull SD tv (soon to be a new HD tv) and lo and behold i cant see anything i can shut it off with the six axis no problem i can easy remember how to do that with my eyes closed. But how do i switch it back to SD??? Thanx

i think ur supposed topress and hold the power button till it beeps, then turn it back on and it should work

Hold the triangle button when you restart it.

This happened to me once, ...just the opposite. Played it at work on a SD then forgot to switch it back to HD at work. Anyways, goto Sony's website and they have a online manual...follow the online manual with the sound of the clicks. If you have no sound then I guess try and guess. If I remember correctly when you turn on your PS3 wait a momen while the OS loads. Then use the d-pad and hold the left button for a couple of seconds so it goes all the way to the left. Then hit right once, then down for a couple of seconds. Now you shold be at the bottome of the Settings list. Then press up 4 times, you should be at the display option now. Hit X twice then down twice and you should be at the composite AV selection. Hit X twice and I think thats it. Overlook the manual though just incase.

hold the power button till it beeps when it does keep holding it until it beeps again when it does this it should return to default (which is SD) try it worked for me.
