Hi guys,

I just upgraded my D-Link DI-624 to a DIR-655 and now my DWL-820 gaming adapter won't connect to the DIR-655.

It used to work well with the DI-624. I was wondering if anyone had the same setup as me and was successful in connecting the PS3 to the net. My PS3 is the original 20Gb which did not include wi-fi.

Would be interested in taking a look at your wireless settings for the DIR-655.

Thanks a bunch... :)

Your Who 'la what now?I do suggest you take this topic onto the PC Hardware section, because they will know alot more than the standard PS3 So copy paste your post and start a new topic in the PC section. Im not being sarcastic...I would help but im typing this on my Nintendo DS while my PC defrags. Sorry bud

I just got a gaming adapter for the same reason as you. However, I got a Linksys gaming adapter, and I have a linksys router...they work terrificly together and only took maybe 5 minutes to set up...sorry I can't help you with your specific model. I've heard that D-Links sometimes have compatibility issues if you cross companies (Like a linksys with a D-Link), but that is just what I've heard, I have no first-hand experience with D-Link.

refering to the guy who switched from DIR 624 to DIR 655. i had the same problem, but what i did was change from a DHCP addressing to a Static ip addressing. but only because i have a satelite high speed. the old router was crap for wireless but the DIR 655 works awesome. took me 2 days to figure out that static was the way. All Hail D Link!!! or no
