Hey all, well, i've got a problem and am confused to death in here ... please tell me ur opinions ... I Have a SDTV and My Budget is about 1900 $ To Be Spent On :

OPTION 1: To get a PS3 System and a HDTV (Not an Expensive one) + A New Laptop which does the job of Internet/Browsing/Chatting/ Listening to Music/ Photos and play games which are not available for PS3 (WoW , Strategy Games ...) I.E: The Laptop isnt For Hardcore gaming :)

OPTION 2: To Forget about the Laptop and the PS3 and get a Desktop Gaming Rig with a 8800 GTX Installed and 2 or 4 GB of DDR2 ..etc

OPTION 3: To Get a PS3 system and a BETTER Laptop which has higher Specs and Get an Expensive HDTV the Next year (Summer 2008 ) Please guys help me in deciding cuz i dont have time ... and i know i posted another Topic but it was abt (PS3 Vs 8800 GTX) So this topic is different and please Reply ... Thanx all, I Appreciate it :D

Depends.

For myself, I would go with option 2, because I have no need for a laptop. Don't bother with option 3, laptops are not meant for gaming, and if you do game with it you better be plugged intoa wall socket. But then whats the point of a laptop if your going to have it into a wall socket all the time?
Stick with a good HDTV and a PS3. $1900 isn't going to get you a HDTV, PS3 and a PC. (Expecially with an 8800GTX)

See yor looking at $600 for a PS3, another $600 for the 8800GTX, a decent CPU to actaully take advantage of the 8800GTX will run you around $200, motherboard $100 not to mention the cost for PSU, moniter (you don't want a stupid little 17" or 19" moniter with a 8800GTX) and a moniter is going to set you back a large chunk of cash, 22" or 24" recommended.
Without even taking into account for the moniter and other items that make a computer run, your looking at already spending $900-$1000. Add a PS3 on top of that and your almost out of money.

option 1 sounds feasable, if you can get all that for 1900. You can get a decent 32" 720p LCD tv for around 800 bucks, a ps3, game, and component/hdmi cables for around 725 bucks, that would leave you enough for a basic lap top.

if the laptop isn't for hardcore gaming an expensive video card and lots of RAM is useless, they're only useful for the big games ... better rethink what you want and what you need  ...

i was gonna go with option 2 but with ur budget and - the HDTV. ur really hurting ur ps3 experience. so id go with option 1 with a few changes. high end desktops are cheaper than laptops so if u can wait on the laptop/desktop. u can browse the web on ps3 anyways.

mate seriously you aint got enough money for all 3 at all, prob not even really 2.

ok i'd not go for any of them options cos there stupid for one a ps3 is costing 600 a decent hdtv is at least 700 and you goin on about a laptop to play games but ur not a hardcore gamer well truth is i dont think the games care if ur not a hardcore gamer or not really most games newer games need the best graphics so even for a strategy game ur still gonna need a decent card for laptops nah not worth the money for playin games on like someone said its need to be plugged in.

i say get yourself a ps3 and a hdtv leave the laptop, no need plus 1900 isnt alot.

I'd spend all $1900 on the laptop.

Then I'd save up. Then I'd splurge on an HDTV.

Then I'd save up again. Then I'd splurge on a PS3.

Work (laptop) -> TV (this is important) -> Games (as much as it pains me to say it, the PS3 probably comes last in that list of priorities)

you do realize that Ps3 - 600
8800 GTX is over 600

building a system with 4 gigs ram and a motherboard to support said card and vista will run you a hell of a lot more than 1900, youd look to spend almost that much on just the PC. Plus a moniter to show off waste of money grpahics card anohter 400.

You have dont have enough but for a ps3 and a 32 lcd tv.

That is what I would with.
