help guys

I have a problem , i pluged in my ps3 with the hdmi cable to my lcd screen 720p , im playing the games with absolutely no trouble but when i quit the game and try to go back to the xmb almost 50% of the times the screen goes black and stays that way , i have to restart the ps3 to get an image again. Anyone else having this trouble? any ideas is its a problem of a) tv b) hdmi cable c) ps3

thanks man but i think the settings are fine , it makes a weird sound when it changes from the xmb to a game or a dvd etc etc... dunno anyone with this problem?

i only asked cuz i had a similiar problem and realized one of my cats was chewing through my HDMI cord, sounds wierd check the cord anyway just so see if its frayed or something it was so minor for my cord
