Help! I got an HDMI cable for my Ps3...

I just got my HDMI cable and I plugged it into the Ps3 and TV. When I turned my PS3 on, it said "An available HDMI device was detected. Do you want to output video and audio using HDMI?"

I clicked Yes.

And the TV is just black. Its not doing anything. Any help?

on your remote you need to press input button until your tv changes to the proper HDMI mode

you might also have a button that says HDMI just press that

use the composite for now and go to restore factory settings then try again with the HDMI and if it doesnt work its ur HDMI's fault (return it or something)

no he absolutely doesnt need to restore his settings and theres nothing wrong with the HDMI cord...hes just not doing it right

There sure is and congrats, I also went HiDef a few weeks ago, can't believe I took so long to make the jump from SD to HD. Enjoy!
