White/black...who cares lol. Personal Choice...id love a white one though.

If you can..get the bundle. Makes sense

The 40 GB model is the only one on shelves until June 12 (MGS4 80GB launches then). The 40GB console only plays PS1 games. I have not seen many reviews or videos regarding the white PS3, but I'm sure its a great buy.

1. You won't be able to play PS2 games on the 40gb, but you can still play PS1 games.

2. It is perfectly fine to buy a 40gb if you don't plan on playing PS2 games, the 40gb plays all PS3 and PS1 games fine.

3. The 40gb is usually in stores, because that is the only model currently available, the 80gb will be out June 12.

4. If you like white, then get the white one.

5. If you want it just for MGS4, then I would get the 80gb bundle because it comes with MGS4.

1. Will I be able to play PS2 games on the 40GB PS3?

No you will not be able to play PS2 games on the 40GB. You can play PS2 games on an 80GB.

2. Is it okay to buy the 40GB?

The 40 GB only has 2 USB ports, and no memory card readers. It does not play PS2 games. You will probably run out of 40GB pretty quickly with 4GB installs on games now. If you do not mind any of these things, then go for the 40GB.

3. Which PS3 is usually in stores? The 80GB?

You will only find the 40GB in stores right now, if your lucky - you may find the 80GB. The 80GB bundle with MGS4 and Dualshock 3 comes out in June.

4 . I wanted to buy the white PS3, is it a bad idea?

Yes, it is probably a bad idea. The firmware will be harder for you to update, since you can only get white PS3's out of Japan. Just buy a black PS3 at a store near you.

5. I'm buying a PS3 solely for MGS4, should I just get the bundle?

If you are buying it only for only MGS4 you may want to think about the bundle. I believe the bundle will be $500. This comes with MGS4 ($60) and a DS3 ($60) and a 80GB PS3 (about $480). It's a good deal if it comes for $500. You will pay an extra $100, but will get another 40GB - 2USB ports, memory card readers, backwards compatibility, MGS4 and a Dualshock 3 controller. I say go for the bundle.

If you have any other questions, just ask.

I was planning on buying a PS3 very soon, but now the whole ps2 game's not playing is a set-back. Can anyone tell me if the 80 gb will cost more than 400 dollars, as the 40 gb?
