Hey everyone, I really want to use PN, but I don't have anything to connect my Ethernet with, the nearest one is upstairs, so does anyone have some recommendations on adapters?

You request is kind of vague but if I understand it right it seems that you want to get your PS3 connected to your Internet but you can only do this upstairs. Is I'm right so far? Okay if you PS3 has the wifi feature (depending on your SKU) you can just go purchase a wireless router and configure your PS3 to connect to the wireless router. Easy as Pi. Well actually it's a little bit easier.

DO you have a wireless router? It is a means by which to establish a network without running wires throughout your home. What model of PS3 do you own? 80g, have a wireless(WIFI) connection for instance.

If you router is connected to you PC has an antenna like object sticking up on it, then it is probably wireless and if you have an 40,60,80Gs PS3 have wireless conneciton and all you beed to do is turn on the PS3 and try using it's browser to connect to the internet.

If it doesn't you'll have to "hard wire" your PS3 in to the router. Hard wire means, connecting the PS3 to the router using a CAT5 ethernet cable, or replace the router with a wireless model. Linksys is a decent and not too expensive router.

Have fun, let me know what you have or what happened. ENJOY!!!

Since you have a wireless linksys router you can wireless connect your PS3 to your linksys. All you will need to do is go to network settings in your PS3, set up network connection. You will want to choose the custom option and select wireless. Your PS3 will then scan for your router. Once detected you will need to enter in your WEP key if you have one (should have one) and you can just keep the preferred options that are given afterwards.
