Help me buy some hidden gems...

I heard about Valkyria Chronicles on this board and it stands firmly in my top 10 PS3 games.

List a few of your most underrated games; genre doesn't matter. Just note I've played Heavenly Sword as well, which most consider underrated.

1.Enslaved-Story and character focused, uses great motion capture and facial animations, great actors, great graphics, platforming and fighting are simple but fun, good 8-10 hours and cheap now.

2.Nier-Open world JRPG (Doesnt have the animish artstyle) very good story and characters, best music this gen, graphics arent very good and fighting is ok, its also cheap now.

3.Shadows of the Damned- Fun third person shooter with lots of good comedy relief, lots of immature jokes, also cheap now.

4.El Shaddai-Very original graphics, looks phenomenal, fun combat.

5.Final Fantasy 13-Not really underrated because it got 8.5-9.0's everywhere, its like 10 dollars now, if you havent played it you should at least give it a shot.

6.Vanquish-Best shooter this gen period, no multiplayer though.

7.Darksiders-Zelda type game with better combat and good graphics.

Nier, Darksiders, Mini Ninjas, Alundra (psn store), Breath of Fire 4 (psn store)

Resonance of Fate...it's great but was wiped out since it was released around the same time as FFXIII

Well, he said he liked Heavenly Sword, and Enslaved is made by the same developer, Ninja Theory.

I would also like to say that i do think that Resonance of Fate was a few tweaks away from being a great game, Im glad that its developer Tri Ace helped Square Enix make Final Fantasy 13-2.

To the games mentioned I'll also add The Saboteur and Yakuza 3 or 4.

No, its about god sending Enoch to collect fallen angels.

Its based off a really old religous book.

I want to play all of these... man.

"Alone in the Dark: Inferno" rocks and it's cheap, "Condemned 2: Bloodshot" is a completely unique first-person melee combat horror title, "MAFIA II" rules, "R.US.E." is a phenominal WWII RTS, "Tom Clancy's EndWar" is also amazing RTS with a voice command twist that works really well, "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" is the best tactical shooter ever (**** CoD AND BF3, this is the game), "Enslaved" is excellent story-driven action, "Just Cause 2" is the best TPS sandbox game ever made...

3D dot game heroes

Brutal Legend. It never got the love it deserved.

Alice: Madness returns. best puzzle/adventure game i've played on ps3.

Folklore. Without question the best game that made use of the Sixaxis.

Eternal Sonata, a great RPG with colorful characters and a good combat system.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1+2. Fast, intense ninja action, everyone likes ninjas.

Bayonetta, its like Devil May Cry but with a witch with demonic hair.

MGS4. Play this game before anything else. ;)

Saboteur is a stealth/guerilla shooter set in WW2 in France, only game using a new AA engine ; when you begin play, the parts of town controlled by Nazis are in black and white and when you free them color is back ; music is incredibly faithful to the era (I know, I'm French)

its a shame some games get forgotten over time, but there are some excellent suggestions in here..

wet, vanquish, 3d dot game heroes, resonance of fate, the saboteur and alice the madness returns are all excellent games. id also suggest prince of persia (2008)

I'd echo quite a few of the ones already mentioned.

Vanquish is a must play!

But I will add the newest Green Lantern game, it's actually not that bad, it's super short and relatively easy, but it's coop story drop in drop out and it's actually kind of fun for a beat em up, the powers are cool enough to keep you interested for a play through, and it just price dropped to 19.99. (Canada)
