I am 19 Years old and i live in California. I Pre ordered a Video Game at my Local Gamestop and this game is "Rated M" or "Mature Rated". I have bought M Rated games from this store in the past. because at those times I actually had a Drivers License. My car was broken into a couple months ago and my wallet was stolen, therefore i had to buy a new license from the DMV...well i did that and now the DMV told me it will be 3 months before my license will be sent in the mail. Figures : ( So I have this "Interim" Temporary License, which has No "Photo ID" just my (License Number) and(Date of Birth). I brought that DMV issued Interim/Temporary License into gamestop and "Tried to Buy my Pre ordered Game" They Told me that I have to have "photo ID" to Buy the game. I Really Dont Understand this whole Situation. I mean I felt Like i was Buying Alcohol or Drugs?? so i guess im stuck for 2 months until my license comes in the mail. or is there any other way to get my Video Game?
#2You could try taking your passport if your really that desperate to get black ops :). Why don't you call your gamestop? and find out if you could use your passport. Never tried it.
Yeah a passport will work fine. It is weird though, WA temp ID's have a pic on them. Do you have any school ID you can bring in alongside your temp one? Otherwise buy online or get a friend to grab it for you.
In Illinois you can just get a State ID w/photo. You go in and get it same day at the DMV just like a drivers license. It just proves who you are, great for those who don't have cars and need an ID for whatever.

if you have an expired license, or an old school id, those would work.
that seems ridiculous to have a 3 month wait on a license replacement. I could walk into dmv today and walk out with a new license in hand. good luck getting your game though.
You have to love California...here is my solution: Buy the game online (Amazon?) then tell GS to stick it and you want your money back. This is a win/win for you, you get your game asap and get to tell GS off.
California is really weird when it comes to drivers licenses and state Id's ... it would take the same amount of time for either ... it's nto like in Illinois or Missouri where you apply and get it on the same day - The DMV has to verify your information before it's even processed ... and that can take hours to days CAUSE THE TERMINATOR SAYS IT HAS TO!

Wow California is really inefficient(that comes as little surprise) to actually take 3 months to send a replacement ID. Anyway like people have said, anything with a photo would suffice, passport would be best, but school ID with that temporary paperwork should be fine.
