I have downloaded about 5 demos and everytime I try to install any of them, it comes up with an error 30 secs later having this message: An error occurred during the install operation. (80029564) thats what comes up and it really pisses Me off! I have quick formatted My ps3, doesnt work, I have full formatted My ps3 and doesnt work. Why wont any demos install? Any help or anything?! thanks!
Umn, the only thing I can think of, is possibly the Demo's didnt download properly, and the install files are corrupted, but the odds of that happening 5 times is extremely low. Also check you have enough free space on your HD to install it in the first place.
I had that same problem at school when I was playing wireless. I had to plug straight into the modem, not router, to get them to download and install properly. If you are plugged into the modem then I don't know.
Check the actual update version and check that with the version on sony website just in case, other than that i havent got a clue why it wouldnt work. You got any software installed on it?
Alright I shall try that over night, Ill keep a demo downloading and NOT perform background and I hardly ever turn My ps3 at the back at all. Whered You get that info from?

Yeah, While downloading Stranglehold's demo my DSL wire got disconnected somehow, then after downloading It would'nt install :(. Having the same problem for 5 games.... strange. Maybe you were downloading them all at once and the connection got interrupted...
I did, I just found forums of people asking the same question. I downloaded the game without performing it in the background and yet, still wont work when in installation. Damn the realiablility makes the Xbox 360 look good! :|
Also go to Network and look at Download Management and see if they're downloading correctly. Wait till all are downloaded before trying to do something else.

That didnt work? Hmm... something is really wrong............ perhaps its your router settings or mabye the demo wont work in you city/postcode area.
john lennon might have a point here, is it the first demo you have downloaded, if u havent registered the ps3 surely that wouldnt allow you to install content from sony?
