Help... please.

I live in the UK, I recently imported a ps3 but when i connect my ps3 on to my TV, there's no colour, is just black and white.

The games works fine, but the colour are all in Black and White.

It is the TV or th cable.... what should I do.

Someone... plz Help.

I am using the cable which came with my ps3... the AV cable.

Have you tried any other games? Is it black and White on the Xmb as well?__Maximus__

I've got 3 games... all of the them are back and white.

Maybe you have the AV cables plugged in wrong, yellow with yellow etc........ or they are in the wrong input. Are you running them straight to the tv or are they running through a receiver.babenjorge

Everything is at the right place... I am running it straight to the TV. Everything is correct... the menu shows up and everything but just no other colours beside is black n white.

I just don't undersatand.

So if he is using the av cables that means no HD -- correct? If so does that PAL / NTSC starts coming into effect? Not sure just thinking out loud here hoping someone can add more information....... Do you have a HD-tv? Does it accept HDMI?svenskamerikan

I don't have a HD-tv... so... PAL/NTSC came into effect? I have buy a TV which either has HD (Which I can't afford) or has NTSC.

If I buy a NTSC tv... would the PAL game become black and white? A reverse situation.

Sir... The difference between UK and USA in regards to TV in SD standard definition is that PAL (UK) and NTSC (USA) are different frequencies and resolutions.

I believe the refresh rate is higher in NTSC but the resolution is higher in PAL.
Frankly, its suprising that it works at all for you.

*** At this point you have a problem.  I would highly suggest you get an HD TV.
You don't need to get a big expensive one but certainly an HDTV is your solution.

In the USA a cheap HDTV can be found for under $300.

my tv from 10 years ago would display both PAL & NTSC signals & support 60Hz, always used to import games from Japan & USA, didnt have any problems then

It's not as simple as that as most TV's sold in tha past few years support both PAL & NTSC signals

My TV is mighty old... probably 10-11 years old.

So... just buying a NTSC/PAL wouldn't help the situation?

I really don't think its the tv unless your tv is broken. Also do you have the right channel on your tv like 3 or 4 whatevertrophylocoste

it's def a tv problem, it cant accept an NTSC signal so you'll always have it in b&w

wait..u can use ur ps2 cables to play on tv just use ur ps2 av cables or whatever they calledtrophylocoste
