I pulled out a UMD game that I was play last night and stuck in the spawn series on UMD.. The drive it self was just spinning and the movie would not pull up. I opened the latch and closed it again and then it load right away.. Is there a problem with my new PSP or is it just think that happens?

i can help because i had the same problem with my movie deuce biglow european giglo I place it in and it didnt read it. I took it out and grabbed a soft wet but not that wet and cleadned the back of it. I put it in again but nothing. I cleaned it one more time and yea and I put it in the right way. See since the psp slim open hatch comes all the way out there is a possiblity that you accidently put the movie in the first time you probably put it in sideways a little but didnt notice. SO yea every time you close the open hatch make sure that the game is layiing straight up

I got the PSP Slim and Lite the day it came out in the UK. I've never had a problem with it. All my games work better than fine. It could be a problem thoug if you have dropped it a few times as it does not have the extra thinkness that the fat one has to protect its componants

TehAssassin's right; the PSP slim doesn't have the metal chassis that the origional PSP had (hence why it was so thick ;)).
