First time posting.

You guys all seem very helpful so thought i would post my problem.

I used to have the 360, but it fried on me. When using the 360 hooked up via component cablesi used to get green screen.

I decided to puchase ps3 for the upcoming games and hard ware reliability. So far i love Sigma, and Rfom. Tons of fun.

Last night while playing the Ninja Gaiden demo and uncharted demo, the screen would once in a while flcker green. Then after about an hour of play, the screen went black and read "weak or no signal." I tried shutting off the ps3 via the controller to go to standbye mode and nothing. So i turned off the power on the front, to go to standbye mode and this worked. It beeped 3 times then shut off.

When i did the 2.0 download over the weekend, i got the same weak or no signal. It did this for a good 4 hours. I didn't shut it off because of everything i have seen says thats a no no during firmware upgrades. FInally the signal returned and 2.0 completed.

Ps3 is hooked up via monster HDMI cable. TV model is Samsung LN-T4061F.

Since i have had the green screen problem with both the 360 and ps3 i am thinking its the tv. But i used component for 360 and hdmi.

yeah if its somethign that happens for both consoles I'd say maybe something is wrong with the connectors on your tv... do you have any other sources that use component or HDMI? cable box? try testing with that

I really hope its under warranty,,and just for the record Im on my 2nd Samsung and its worse then the first. But I hope they can get you fixxed up and if they offer you to sell you an extended warranty I would buy it.

Defintiely sounds like a TV issue, maybe even hardware related.  I can get you into the "master settings" or "tech settigns" if you wish, just PM me.  I don't think that will help in this case, though.  Is the casing where the connections on your TV are loose or wiggle at all?  What Samsung do you have.  If it is a 07 model (came out in 06) or later they have panel access on the side that will let you see inside to see if connection plate is loose.  Check out avsforums.com, they are the best info on the web and have a VERY active Samsung community.  They will probably be able to help you more than we ca here.

Thanks for the advice.

I have cable hooked up to it. I couldn't get the hdmi to work for that either but passed on the issue.

I have time warner cable, had some issues with HD channells, I get a little blip through the picture, and a couple times during prison break last nightit skipped a bit. I am not sure if that is Time Warner or the tv. Standard Def channells look aweful, i was expecting that. But my inlaws have a low end HD TV and their SD channells look much better. Again maybe its the cable service and not the tv. But the HD channells look awesome when the above issues aren't occuring.

I purchased the tv at Circuit City and bit the bullet and purchased their protection plan. Do you think they would let me return it for store credit? Spending all of this money only7 months ago to have it serviced just doesn't seem adequate to me. I paid alot of money for a quality HD tv and for it to require service inside of7 months of purchase should require replacement not service.

Well I have a similar problem to this. When I play with my PS3 I press a button and it takes 1-2 seconds to move on the TV. For example I play football and press X to pass and it takes 1-2 seconds to pass. I took my PS3 to another TV and connected it with the 3 things (white, yellow, red) and worked well(that TV didn't have HDMI). My TV is full HD and I connect the PS3 with the HDMI. I tried connecting it with the 3 things on my TV but the problem continues. My TV is PHILIPS and the model is 32PFL9603. Can anyone help me and tell me what to do please?
