HELP, so wait a minute, does DVD upscaling mean DVD gets converted into HD etc.?

Yes. Though the quality might not be what you'd expect it to be in HD. It's just upscaled to a higher resolution (560,720,1080)

 They get upscaled to 720p , 1080i , or 1080p  its your choice.

It means DVD will look more pixelated and more tingling and more artifacts and more grain. While games get smoother.

is kind of..the definition will improve a little means the image will look sharper. oh! and thats only if you have an HDTV that supports 1080i.  but dont expect to see as HD as blue ray like some people.
