Help Thieves Guild Oblivion

Somehting is wrong with my Thieves guild mission "Independant Thievery."  You need to fence over 800 for the Springheel Jak quest so I did.  I finished the Springheel Jak quest (it is even in my 'completed quest' section) but my independant thievery quest wont update to tell me i need 1000 gold for the next quest, it just stays at 800.  I have fenced nearly 2000 gp and the quest still wont update to say I need 1000 gp fenced.  Is there anyhting I can do to fix this problem?

I believe you are now in the "just wait inside a city" mode. They come to you to bring up the next quest.
