Help! What i have done?

I recently bought a new Samsung Hard Drive from Ebay for my Ps3, but after changing it the system was taking too long to boot and was very slow when selecting. After reinserting the old drive it's Begin to work right but here's the problem: I'd tookout the newer drive, recovered my data and i'm using the now the old one but i forgot to format the newer. I have only like 15 days to return the drive and my question is, If i send it back without deleting the data can someone else use it or do i have to reinsert it and format it.

yes it should do but in the future whenever you format something make sure you back your save data upjoebutler18
