Help with disc drive

Hey guys, okay so now I just set up everything (online account and all) and go to put the game disc in. After doing that it's not loading or anything, is there a button on the main menu I can hit to load the game from there or is something wrong with the PS3?

When you load a game then there will be a disc icon that you can click on that starts up the game.
