I need help beating Genesis in Chapter 6 level 13, how u guys beat him?

Do some more missions to level up a little bit. You have to block, he will just mangle you if you don't. I don't remember if dodging works well or if he catches you. Try it out.
aye, you best bet is to do missions, level up a bit, but what helps out the most is doing the missions to get better materia, and fusing them, you can fuse them and boost your stats like vitality and spirit more, genesis would be able to do as much damage, but mostly genesis is straight forward hack away and remember to block/dodge, cast some magic, use cure if needed, straight forward really.
I was in hard, so by the time I got to it I was lvl 30 and had Hell Firaga. Any Hell spell, will obliverate him, since he is really weak against poison, I mean, my posion was doing some 8k-9k damage to him. If you are in normal, then I dont see how he can be hard at all. Just cast barrier, osmose him whenever needed dodge and attack He should have like 20k life since in Hard he had 69k or 79
