You're adopted. But seriously, check all the obvious things like memory stick space, fully charged battery, formatting the memstick and try another account, etc.

Try resetting the PSP to Default settings in the System menu. Then recreate your Internet connection.

Try a different memory card? Preferably a Sony one.

Try activating the psp's game part using your psn account again. Worth a try.

Google says insufficient space or faulty formatting.
Either way, a new format is recommended.

Well, I can give you a speculation at that, being technically inept as my blog would state: Saving games only requires a blip, very small amount of memory/sector space. Even othe rmedia, like music and so. Games will probably be the largest files on there, where the chance of hitting a bad sector is bigger, thus the download failing on you. In illustration XXXXXXXX0XXXXXXXX0XXXX0XXXXXXX0XX0 ^chances are bigger to hit an 0, which is crap, when files are bigger.
