Help With Playing Games in 1080P

ok just got a new tv, its in 1080p at the ps3 menu but when i put in dead space it switches over to 720P, same with brothers in arms.

what gives ??

Nah, back of the game box says 1080P * and says the requirments for 1080P gameplay and i have ALL requirements for it.

Guess ill just goto gameStop tomarrow and ask them.
