The scenario:

Dad only turns on internet from about 5 - 9:30

I wanna use Remote Play at night when i go to be, about 11:00 so I can listen to music on my PS3 (Putting on PSP is not possible, don't wanna do it anyway)

Everywhere I read it just says to use Register Device (did) then remote play on both systems (did)

PSP always times out.

Is it not possible for PS3 to transmit DIRECTLY to PSP?

Do I NEED a wifi connection on the PS3 always?

Cause from 9:31 to 4:59 the next day I don't have internet!

HELP! ;)

yes, unfortunatly you do need to have an internet connection running through you system for it to work. Suggestion though. Go to network settings and try to find another internet connection (like your neighbor's or something) Chances are, you will find other internet connections if you live near a lot of ppl. the signal doesnt even have to be that strong. as long as you get the green wifi light on your ps3 to come on, it should work. Try that.;)

Ah damn.

I checked for one when I first got.

I can get a connection when I'm in my mom's bedroom right next to the window on my PSP but thats about it.

PS3 is in the living room, 2 rooms away.

Anyone know of any hacks or anything for this occasion (If that is illegal to talk of, sorry I'm new here so please don't lock and disregard that last part!)

Anyother help at all

Turn on internet? I though internet was sopposed to be on always. But the easiest thing to do is get a memory stick and put music and stuff on it. Then you can put it in the usb port and save the music to the ps3. Easier than remote play.

I have lots of music and movies, too many to fit on the 2gb card I have, really don't wanna buy another. But yes, turn on We're on a router, and my dad is the host PC so he 1. Turns off wifi then 2. Unplugs hardwire

ummm tell ur dad to go screw himself?and explain to him what you are doing(unless your not supposed to be doing it in that case viva la resistance!) other than that you cant get the two to directly talk... unless you can somehow set up an AD_HOC kinda network which is technically the two of them talking to each other but ud need alot of technical know how and some hardware
