yeah i agree, helping out sony will do them good. i'd only spend $10-15, only if some furniture costs around 50 cents a piece or somethin, but not 2 bucks a piece thats too much

I might spend money on the movie theaters in Home or on arcades but I don't think i'll spend much. I also don't think that I'll waste my money on furniture.

What sony should do is give away things for your home based on trophies. This could sway people to get a game just for the trophy and boost sales.

I would have it one of three ways.

If the items available are really cheap and super sweet looking I would most likely pimp out my Home. The one thing working against this option is really cheap stuff would be available to everybody and alot of "Home"s would be the same, each one decorated with all of the best gear. That might be kinda boring.

The second option would be to not buy a thing. If you get free furnature I guess that can stay, but my goal would be to have the most run down home possible. I mean like a paint peeling of the walls, leaky faucets, trash everywhere kind a place. As a matter of fact, if I do get any free gear, I think I might put it on the front lawn to really give that "trashy look"a final touch.

My dream option would be if Home gives me the ability to model my virtual Home exactly like my real house. I might actually be willing to pay real money for virtual items if I could make a replica of my house in both style and scale.

Truthfully, I doubt the items will be cheap so option 1 is really not an option at all. I really don't think sony wants us to have our homes looking like crap and bringing down the property value of the Home neighborhood so option two is out of the question. My dream Home doesn't seem like it will happen either. Maybe in a later update it could be a possibility.

What exactly is pathetic about it? If somebody willingly spends a couple of bucks on an online product to personalize their space, what's the big deal? It's their choice to do so and it's no different than somebody paying for Desktop wallpapers or graphic designs. You want to use a service that's free to download, but also have your way with it in that much depth? Expect to pay for it.

Oh yeah, keep in mind you yourself obviouslypay money to play video games. Not much different is it?

don't you buy games?

edit: and don't gimme crap like "a game is a physical object," because how much fun do you get out of playing with a game disc? do you throw it around like a frisbee or what?

The point of a game is to be immersed into a different world such as a shooter right something you cant just go out and do. But why would you go buy a sofa in a video game so you can watch your character sit on it what a joke go in your living room and sit on your sofa.

Oh man, just got a wonderful idea concerning what to do with home. What I would want to do is get my friends to have their own Homes next to mine, and we could get the most low budget (free) stuff, put it in the front lawns, and have the most destitude houses possible for HOME, and create a virtual ghetto!!! It would be really crappy, and the only movies that would be in it would be like Scarface, and other gangster films. Nobody would want to visit it and people would avoid it unless they really had to pass through! That would be awesome.

Not a dang penny for many reasons. Mostly because I don't really care about the community aspect about games, so a game thats all about community, turns me off automatically. I want to "play" games, not spend money on basically an online sims.

I dont really think that there will be like a community of houses and you can walk to someones house... i thought there was only a lobby, and your house and the only way to go to a friends house was to be invitedand you automatically got there :|. I could be wrong though.

i cant really see myself spending any money. unless of course it was interactive or just down right cool. i've seen they had arcade cabinets in Home. now if i could buy those when im downloading games, that would be cool. even more cool if people at my Home could stream it off my ps3 and play it.
