I have some quick questions because i am thinking about getting a PSP.

1. how long is battery life when playing a game until the battery dies?

2. Battery Life when watching movies, til it dies?

3. Battery life when listening to music until the battery dies?

Lets say each scenerio is starting with a full charge and doing that one activity until the battery dies.

Thanks

when you say 18 hours when watching movies do you mean UMD or ones on the memory stick? because i heard that the psp gets crappy battery life while watching movies on disk because it constantly has to spin.

And are you talking about the original battery?

you know i head the PSP had crappy battery life then i bought one and so long as you keep the screen on a low light seeting it'll work just about forever. (10 hours to a charge supposedly if you keep the volume in check.)

Yeah, battery life when watching a UMD isn't very good. I rented a couple of 90 minute movies, and each time I finished watching the battery was always very low. However, off the memory stick it's definitely over 4 hours and 10 minutes, so probably around 6 hours with brightness on it's highest.

Depends on if you want what the bundle has. I bought a bundle first day the system was released, all I got was the system, headphones a protective pouch and a movie (spiderman) I watched the movie once. If thats all you get extra I'd probably get the value

Don' know where that guy gets is battery life figures from. I usually get anywhere between 4.5-3 hours of batter run time, which has never really been a big deal or problem for me.

Watching UMD movies seems to be the bigest battery drain as the UMD drives is in use the whole time, then gamea and lastly playing MP3/user encoded videos. This is based on my experiance with the 1800mAh battery. Sony does have a 2200mAh battery avaiable, does it come with the PSP now?

If the run time isn't long enough for you just look into getting a 2nd battery and a charger, stay away from 3rd party brands, their build quality leaves a lot to be desired.
