I liked Raiden, MGS2 just wouldn't have worked if you played it as Snake, and yea vamp never really died, he's in one of the ending movies, you can see him next to a taxi in the distance when Snake and Raiden are talking.

According to an exclusive article I read about MGS4 a while back, Olga's kid is being taken care of by Raiden. Secondly, Raiden is in fact a "new Raiden" in the sense that he doesn't question and complain about things like he did in MGS2. I think he plays the role of the "ninja" in MGS4.

Snake said he would find the kid, so he did. Raiden probably decided to take care of it because Olga sacrificed herself for him (for her child really, but she still sacrificed for Raiden), so that was the least he could do.
Maybe the kid will make an appearance, but I doubt he would be old enough to be of any importance.
And Vamp probably won't be the only one to come back, Kojima said that he wanted to bring back as many people as possible.

Eva is older than Ocelot, so she would be dam old in MGS4, so I doubt it.

But I wouldn't doubt for a second Eva is long since dead. Just think, hight of the Cold War, your espionage mission failed. With all at risk of people catching on possibly creating an all out war by keeping her alive, you think they would? Kill her off and deny her exsistence and all evidence she was ever alive wiped out.

Well, despite my laughable attempt, I would imagine they'll give him an awsome name. Or it may not even be Olga's child at all, it could be someone entirely new. (like the left field pulled with Raiden) But either way, I just want Metal Gear to continue. And hopefully, the right guy takes over after Kojima and doesn't screw it up.

I guess there were a few years in between, but I'm pretty sure it was Snake spending time with Meryl. If any girl should be in MGS4 it should be Meryl as she was still alive and wouldn't be very old. Your absolutely right. I assume that Raiden located the kid somehow and took the kid away from the Patriots, I don't know. But, Kojima better have one hell of a storyline for that one..lol:
