Well if you got that much money to play with then you may as well buy a new PSP.

Well the PSP 2 is just a rumor. While it will proabably happen, it won't happen for awhile. I would say if you get the money in the summer, wait. I had bought my God of War PSP in the summer (graduation) and then a week or 2 later they released the Madden and then the PSP 3000 was annouced. (I didn't even want the God of War one too but my local eb games only had that edition). I would say wait sometime in the summer becuase usally they annouce a new model near there or near october. (I heard the PSP 3000 has some problems so if you decide to get it, becareful).

I suggest you keep your current PSP and save the money for something else.

If you can still play with the scratch, I would save your money. It's always risky to replace something like that on your own.

The PSP2 is just a rumor at this point; it doesn't make much sense to save your money for something that doesn't exist.

If the scratch is on the screen, then you have a prroblem.

But if its on the body of the PSP, then why are you even asking this question?

just buy a faceplate, they are cheap on ebay. The psp is difficult to open, as in the screws are tight, so try before you buy a faceplate. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube. If the scratch is on the faceplate screen then replace it, if it's on the lcd screen buy a new psp.

Yah I still have a psp 1000 from about 2 years ago, it's scratched as heck, but I don't mind. If it annoys you that much, I'd just buy a faceplate. I might up-grade to a 2000/3000 this summer, not sure if I really want to pay that much though.
