Im trying to compare it to Wii Sports Bowling. The sixaxis controller does not follow 1:1 motion for the actual swing, which is a disappointment. But the rest of it is a very good bowling game. Nice 1080p presentation and probably a deeper bowling game than the Wii bowling. The sixaxis motion controls are used for positioning the ball and registering the power of your swing. You actually have to hold the sixaxis iike a bowling ball if you can imagine. As the character makes his approach, you swing back and then throw forward before you cross the line, but its kind of a canned animation rather than your actual motion. The ball spin is controlled by L2 and R2 which you hold down as you make your swing. Its only $10, so if you want to try PS3's answer to Wii Sports, give it a try.

I actually find it a lot of fun. It's a great party game and the controls work nicely. Looks great. For $9.99 I give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Well, i like the game. But the sixaxis is not used to it full advantange. Its not exactly like you are controlling the swing of your arm or spin of your ball. Its not real time motion controlled like Wii sports bowling, but more like a mix of old styled meter based game play with a small amount of motion control added for good measure. Its a fine bowling game, just dont get it expecting a wii type of experience.

You hold L2 or R2 while you make the swing motion and dont let up until you let go of the ball. I have not tried the custom music feature, so i cant say.

Yea definnitely a lot of fun. Very challenging too. My highest is a 256 against that big buff dude. I have been stuck on competition 5 forever, but at least I am getting my 10 bucks worth. Very good game for the price.

You can access any music you have on your hard drive by hitting the Select button and have that playing instead of the standard music.

You use the L2 and R2 buttons during your swing, actually. Once you shoot you have no control over the ball.
