hmmm another Disappointing Ps Vita...

Greeting guys ,

I just saw that Ps Vita will not be able to access internet while a game is up ..... is that true or not?
it will be so bad to not be able to access internet while gaming ... where is the point if I am going to close the game and access internet via Vita??? REALLY WTF

I thought it was awesome when Nintendo announced that the 3DS would be able to do that but I'll tell you, I have owned my 3DS since launch and I have not used that feature once. It is a nice feature and I'm sure a small percentage of people will use it but it's definitely not something that will make or break the system (at least not for me).

Yeah, I was thinking I would use it for looking up FAQs and stuff while I was gaming but I always just wind up using my phone.

It's also worth mentioning that this is exactly the kind of improvement you tend to see w/ on system updates.

Just to be clear, the PS Vita has constant wireless internet connection via wi-fi and/or 3G (when available). SCE reps stated that they are currently working on ways for the memory consuming web browser to function while a memory taxing game is on hold.

There have already been test units out in public in which people could play a game and use the web browser however, the developers will likely look for more ways to use the full power of the PSVITA and this may cause problems so, SCE is basically looking at all scenarios before officially allowing mid-game web browsing.

Keep in mind, the "Party" app will also be running and doing cross-game (voice/text) chat and that all other music, movie, etc functions are reported to be running. If you ever get stuck, just send a PM to a friend and he/she can work your through it.
