Is it the public beta? If so, that really, really sucks since my PS3 went to the shop TODAY for repairs. Lame.hillelslovak
No. However, HOME did finally get to version 1.00. They're now testing it with SCEE. Once that phase completes, it's out. Join the Playstation Underground and check their forums. We've just been updated, and HOME is on track to be released within this quarter :)

Lol.
This is my first beta by invite as well, which is even more exciting because I'm totally digging Home. I mean, I really like Home--I'm not burrowing my way towards my house, just to be clear. Home is the greatest online socializing experience I have ever seen. If I wanted to hang out with my fellow PS3 gamers, watch a movie or perhaps some episodes of Ren and Stimpy while kicking back in the gorgeous, high definition atmosphere of my virtual apartment, Home would be the place to do it. I personally think it's exciting to have proximity-based voice chat and be able to run around through various groups of people listening to what's being said. Imagine the possibilities... I wonder if you could have four players in Home sing a Boyz II Men song together, acapella, via bluetooth headsets and if everyone nearby would hear the resulting four part harmony. That would be amazing. Or, imagine if they implemented Karaoke into Home. Actually, if you had your own karaoke cds, you could play them in your apartment and, voila! Instant online Karaoke. I wonder if there would be a delay in the voice chat that would make that impossible. Hmm!
Other possibilities in Home could be theatrical performances done within Home. Or you could have a comedy night if they made a stage available as a purchase--that could be pretty sweet. Or you could just do your comedy routine in public and see how many people laugh. Ha! I want to see virtual stand up comedians and actors!
But anyway, as far as Home's basic functionalities, if Sony wants to let me use my PS3 as the best virtual socialization/media sharing tool available, and for free, then more power to Sony.
