10 min video of what to expect from home. its a beta, going through media spots, the theatre, the mall, and more. looks AWESOME!

you have absolutely no knowledge of my situation. i can only use the online features of my ps3 during the summer break (and i work full time anyway, so that cuts back even more on gaming time). the firewall at my college blocks basically everything. at this pace, ill get to use home for a few months and ill have to wait for whatever iteration sony drags its feet on in ps4. it all adds up way more waiting than actual playing. your assumptions are pretty awful.

the only thing I find nice in Home is the community interactions : ways to chat and start a game easily, I hope you can make your tastes known to others so you can make friends that have same tastes.

watched these 10 minutes (I want those minutes of my life back), found it extremely boring, and LOADING TIMES!!! wtf? what I feared happened : you have to position in front of screens and you can't watch full screen, making it useless ; if this feature is not implemented in your flat to show videos to your friends it will be a failure, at least listening to music should be there. of course the most interesting is missing : interactions with others, hope you can select who you can speak with or it will be chaos and if selected hope you can use headset. The most important is there : launching a game but it's not clear how you invite people to play.

Man that video was boring. I hope the real thing is nothing like that. First off, the avatar was really lame, blue jeans and a white t-shirt? The face was nothing special either. It walked around just looking at videos and nice scenery. I'm sure it will be great and all, but I'm more interested in the creativity aspect of it. How much of the rooms can we decorate, how extensive is the avatar creation, and how much interaction is allowed with others.Zidaneski

Yes that's the only part's I'm interested in. I hope they won't charge real money for in game stuff like new cloths, maybe trophies can get you access to new cloths or something.

Well, actually, they said that they will charge you for little things such as clothes and if you want to buy a bigger pad in the game. I think it is stupid to charge us for crap like that but thats how developers make their extra money nowadays with downloadable content.

i wouldnt be able to spend enough time with it to enjoy the feature. it doesnt require an essay and i figured nobody wanted to hear the whole story. hell, im sure they still didn't get a real kick out of reading it. i had no intention of turning this into a blog entry until mr. psychologist came along.

EDIT: and it wasnt exactly a question either.

They should add weapons to home...and vehicles...and maybe add some missions...and set it in Liberty City!:)-Grieves-

Haha I was thinking the same thing. It looks like Grand Theft Auto with no guns, missions, or vehicles.

You can use a linksys or something else to try and get around it. I know for sure you can get around the firewall, because my school had that too. You can figure out which ports need opening and ask the school to do so (they might not do it). I know some people who ran into taht problem with their 360 at school, but ps3 shouldn't do that really. If it's on wifi and you need a school username and password, just go the internet browser on ur ps3 and log in and you should be fine, if your firewall was ne thing like at my school.

I'm in the same situation. At my University, the internet speed is rather slow because of everyone in the dorms using it only slows it down. So in reality, you're right. It's not just waiting for when Home will actually release for us, but rather when we'll get to use it.

relax guys. the real version will have 100,000+ people in one room. imagine how much better that would seem. of course waching one guy roaming about in rooms isn't going to be "all that"

isn't it surprising that he's bashing something again on the ps3 forums? Oh I remember... this was the guy that said MGS has a crappy AI, graphics look washed out and the game was overall boring, but that he still would buy a PS3 then just to play it because he doesn't like any other game on the PS3.

Well... i don't like most games on the other console, except for 1 or 2 i would like to play, but still i never went to their forum. I never felt the need to talk to the people who love something i don't really like
