No, what we'll get in Oct is another delay/ballpark release date till Q2 2009.

The pattern with Home is, it's an release date of a release date.

"Wait till Oct 23rd (or something) for Home!"

Oct 23rd comes

"Oh sorry, we meant wait till Oct 23rd for us to tell you that it'll be released in Q2 of next year" (seem familiar? hmmm..)

Why are people making such a big deal of this? It's to the point where Home has become a myth, or a joke. Sony can't really compete with XBox Live if Home comes out in 2012.

well seeing as the beta version is 0.98, we can safely assume that 1.00 (the release) is just around the corner.

from what sony has been saying it will be out by the end of the year, again this ties in.

The original information also said it would be released with firmware 2.50, which is also judging from what firmware we are on now, is also just around the corner.

my bet is that it is for real and we will see the release of home and that new keypad thing by the end of october/start of november :):)

also, seeing as chrismtas holiday season is comming up, aka "time where everyone is buying those once a year expensive things" i can see sony marketing the **** out of home and LBP for the holiday season.

they would be stupid to miss this opportunity and not release home in time for christmas.

Right for LBP as well. Wouldn't a part of you just want to laugh til' you cried if both LBP and Home turned out to be really, really awful and completely killed Sony after all the money they'd thrown in PS3 just burned away into nothing and they gave everything to MS and MS just ruled the gaming world, slamming nintendo down to burn in the gaming afterlife with dreamcast and they rule all 3rd developers with a IRON FIST! making them work dayand night like the slaves they are, designing game after game, one just a little different from the other.
