Pros: -Best looking console game ever made, hands down! The game looks amazing. -The story is as good as UC2 i wouldent say its better nor worse.. The story is alittle bit more personal this time which i liked. -Some of the chapters are MINDBLOWING such as the cruise ship and the cargo plain, the cruise ship being my favorite. -More puzzles then UC1&2 combined. -The online part has improved a lot its fun and challenging. Cons: -Changed the gunfire(aiming etc) I really liked how it was in UC1&2 cannot understand why they changed it. Im finding myself using more fists then gun, you can turn up the sensitivity but its still not as good as UC1&2, its not bad and u will get used to it after a few playthroughs, still should never have changed.. A few other things: -I played my first playthrough on normal and i had a hard time quite a few times, i have beaten both UC1 and 2 on crushing and on normal difficulty UC3 was or felt as hard as crushing, maybe because of the poor aiming? Good news for some, bad for others. -Some of the puzzles were hard, like real hard, so i can understand people using guides to solve them, myself i made it without but there were a few puzzles i really took my time solving. -The story begins slow like uc2 but it really takes off. Some moments in the game really gets to you like standing on top of a very building just viewing the land, watching the stars at night, there are some WOW moments here. I would give the game a 9.2 its not perfect as IGN say it is, its a fantastic game dont get me wrong its a MUST have for you who owns a ps3. Sorry for my poor english im european

Agree with much of what you said. The multiplayer made me angry for two reasons, they took away elimination and team survival (instead you have to do gold rush with it). Other than that it's a great game, but wayyyy clunkier than UN2. And Drake rubs everything he walks by! lol There should be a trophy for "wall master-touching 1000 walls"

Definitely not quite up to par with Uncharted 2 but those are some pretty big shoes to fill. I felt like UC2 was more well rounded overall, the beginning/middle/ending were all great but with UC3, I feel all the real good parts are more in the middle and the ending and beginning are the weaker parts of the game
Not the young Drake stuff, that's all really awesome
.

What makes it a 92 and not a 93 or 91?

My biggest issue with UC3 is that the hand-to-hand, while much improved, is a bit overused. And the part where you chase Talbot just drags on too long.

I don't really agree. The story doesn't even compare to that of UC2. There are just too many inconsistencies with the plot and doesn't flow all that well. It's like the story was built around the set pieces and the story seems kinda forced. The character development wasn't really there. I expected to have gotten more screen time of Marlowe but sadly we barely got to know her due to lack of it and with other characters too. The visuals are are kinda hit or miss for me as some levels are extremely amazing while others are just rather good looking. I did like the set pieces for the most part and the level of detail such as the sand was just mind blowing. I just felt that the game wasn't as open as it could have been especially when you run through corridors quite often in the game. Just felt too restricting. My problem was that the game just had too many "WOW" moments. Would have liked to have seen less forced exciting moments and instead, have let the player create those moments for themselves. Would probably give the story a 7.0-7.5. Haven't really played the other modes yet so can't comment on that.

IGN never said it was perfect. They even put a lengthy definition of their 10/10 (Masterpiece) at the end of the written review.

Wha? There's probably more development of Drake, Sully and Elena characters than in the first two games combined.

I just didn't like the CQC, I also didn't like the "bad guy" this time around. Lazarevic was soo much better.

Edit- Also over all the story was more enjoyable in Uncharted2.

I would agree with you on Sully and Nate, but Elena pretty much had nothing to do with Uncharted3.

She wasn't in much of it, but there was significant development there.

UC3 frustrated the hell out of me. I didn't really feel that with the other Uncharted games. I still liked it though.

I was definitely hyped for Uncharted 3 and after playing it from start to finish I say Uncharted 2 is better imo. A lot of "WOW" factor in UC3 though (I compare it playing 1,000 action-packed summer blockbusters in one game) and I found it to be very beautiful andenjoyable. The problem with the Uncharted games is that they end. All three games are EXCELLENT and I have every intention of playing through the series again.

SPOILER:

I just beat Uncharted 3 last night and it does some things better than Uncharted 2 and some things worse. Uncharted 3 is still a great game and a must have for all PS3 owners. This is my pros and cons. I have yet to play multiplayer.

Pros: 1. Graphically? It is the best looking game videogame console ever. There are plenty of jaw dropping stages. 2. Story? I think the game starts out with a pretty slow pace for the first few chapters but it really picks it up after those beginning chapters. The story isn't as good as UC2 but it does make sense and I did like it. I did find UC3 story better than UC1 because I thought UC1 story was very simple and didn't take them to various environment as it felt somewhat reptitive. 3. Well rounded game? This is where I think UC3 beats UC2 in because UC3 feels like it has more puzzles (more difficult as well), more exploring and climbing, more fighting, more "racing type scenes" which I really enjoy, more variety of weapons with strengths/weaknesses and more epic parts like the cruise ship where I even got sea sick. And UC3 is longer game to beat which is always good. I will probably say it was a tad more difficult than the other 2 uncharted games.

Cons: 1. The aiming isn't as polished as Uncharted 2. It is nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be where some people said "it ruined their experience and the game is terrible because of it." However, there is a slight lag and some dead zones. I barely noticed it until I heard others make reference to it and then at some parts of the game where I zoomed in with my sub machine gun, I noticed it. 2. Bosses?! This is the same complaint that I have for all the Uncharted games. The games are great and all but Uncharted makes the lamest boss battles. And Uncharted 3 boss battle is the worst of the 3 games. I felt the game actually got easier when I got to the very end. How hard is it to put in like 3 good boss battles in this game? 3. Fighting is good and bad. More fighting moves but I don't think it necessary to always be in fighting movie scene mode. Sometimes I just want to quickly punch someone in the head and keep on running or shooting the other enemies. However, I do understand why some fights last long than others. If a fully armored bad guy with a shotgun takes like 30 bullets to kill, the fight with him should be more difficult and time consuming.

I would give Uncharted 3 a 92 score out of 100..... Uncharted 2 a 95 score. Uncharted 1 a 89 score.

Great Game. 9/10. Controls weren't as tight in my opinion. Shooting is different but more realistic I guess. Beginning was too slow. And too many puzzles, didn't have a problem with them being much harder. Makes things more realistic.

Holy crap I don't get what's hard to understand with the word FORUM, it's not a f****** blog. What is it with you people?

Man you are getting really mad about these topics about not liking Uncharted 3... But this is a forum, for people to share opinions.. Do you go around reading random blogs on Gamespot? I know I don't.. I don't think I have read one blog entry in the 2+ years I've been a member here.. I like seeing all the different opinions. If you don't want to read these kind of topics, then don't click on them... It's pretty simple.
