Honestly, I'm not buying PS4 if it turns out to be like this gen.

Obviously, I'm very pissed at Sony for the way that they handled things for this gen. Plus I'm starting to question if I should even buy their PS4 system at all (as well as many others who shelled out $500 or $600 on this platform & were expecting 3rd party exclusives to be kept there, that winded up to be multiplatform). Here I bought a PS3, thinking that it would take off just like the PS2. How gullible was I? Delays on games? 3rd party exclusives constantly be ported over to 360? Only focusing on 1st party games? What the flip? They're obviously forgetting that 1st & 2nd party games is not what put the PS1 & PS2 on the map. Seriously, I would've bought the 360 if it wasn't for their shoddy hardware (RROD, anyone?). Don't get me wrong, I'm still keeping the PS3, but the way that they handled things for this gen has pushed me over the edge.

Sony has a lot, & I mean a lotof making up to do for me to consider buying their next gen console. If it turns out to be the exact same way as this gen, they can kiss my hard earned cash goodbye.

1. Blame it on the developers, not on Sony.

2. I don't see why games being multiplat is so bad... Other people get to enjoy the game, companies make more money, and it doesn't hamper us at all. In fact, us PS3 players get better graphics on the games... and that's a fact.

This generation for Sony is going great, I think... I think a lot of us are just judging it on stupid things like just HAVING to have EXCLUSIVES, and really.. we're judging the entire system way too early.

I assume you are talking about Tekken 6. Everyone knew that was going to go multiplat when it did not come out this year for the PS3. That game has been in arcades since 07. There are no 3rd party exclusives anymore really. I can see your point with the 360 somewhat because they buy timed exclusivity. We just got quite a load of PSN titles, There are about 4 exclusive games coming out for PS3 this month alone and you have a healthy 09 lineup. If the most of the same games are on both sets why sell one for the other. I mean you aren't saving any money buy selling the PS3 now. Yes it does screw over early adopters like me sort of. You must remember that the 360 did cost $400 and with $50 a year, plus the failure rate at the time, you probably would have paid the same amount anyway/ Even now you are only paying about $50 more to have a PS3.

You still have Ratchet and Clank second PS3 game, an Uncharted 2 or Jak game, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, Twisted Metal, God of War, Infamous, Flower, Gran Turismo, Wardevil Enigma, Fat Princess and whatever else. There aren't a big number of exclusive on any set out there. PS1 had everything because cartridges were too expensive. PS2 had everything because of the stigma from the N64 and Microsoft was a newbie at the gaming industry. PS3 is struggling because Sony upped the ante a bit too much this generation and is ending up like the N64 only to a much smaller extent. Games that use blu ray are too expensive to make. At least PS3 owners still get most of the games and it isn't being left out other than PC games, Sony said from the beginning that they were going to spend more on first party which is actually a smarter move than paying 3rd party.

I am glad Sony is coming out with new IP's like Folklore, Resistance, Uncharated, Infamous, and some others rather than just touting the same games over and over. I mean all Microsoft has of their own is Forza, Mistwalker Studios responsible for some pretty average RPG's, and close relationships with studios that have gone out on their own.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The ps3 has tons of great exclusive first party games. Futhermore, 360 gets ff13, gta4 etc. We get Bioshock, Oblivian etc. We give, they give.

I don't know what it is with some of these one-nextgen system owners who get so pissed every time they see multiplatform 3rd party games, who cares? I own only a ps3 and I don't. Are people that obsessed with making the "other system" buyers jealous?

Sad truth... it's pretty tough but by the time the 4th gen comes out I'm sure all of our perspectives will change by the time they come out. Just keep on waiting... I'm pissed myself too but being pissed solves nothing and makes me even more frustrated... But look at all that will supposedly come to the PS3 lol... nah no worries I have faith...

No need to get mad at TC for voicing his opinion which is partially fact!! I am a Former Owner of the original 60gb ps3, stood in line which much anticipation. I also Own a 360 (on second one now). I can TRUELY tell you that the PS3 is not what it was hyped up to be YET! It has MASSIVE potential but I dont buy these "investments" for potential, hell I can buy stock for that! I bought the PS3 to GAME and have the BEST GAMING experience out of the three consoles. That unfortunately didnt happen simply because the games (partially developers fault) were lackluster on the PS3 and pollished on the 360 (graphics and features).

Simply put people, you can stay in denial all you want, you can read my previous posts in which i personally tried to justify the greatness of the PS3. But deep down inside you have to admit the future looks dim for the PS3 given the history and current trend of the system. Not trolling but I am relieved that I returned it after a year to best buy and recieved full value of the unit.
