I was wondering i have a wii and a dead 360 thats gonna get fixed or replaced very soon.. i was wondering is the ps3 worth getting.. Rent a center has them to rent to own for like 30 dollars a week and a guy i know got one from them.  I don't have 600 plus to blow on just buying oneform the store.. Do you guys think it worth it... to pay more for it with payments..

Well if you are strapped for cash I would just charge it because usually Rent-a-Center, after all payments are made cost around 800-900 for what you want.

Also, the items at Rent-a-centers may not be new either, so you could end up paying 300 over market price for an item that could have be used/abused before.

Definitely don't do the Rent-A-Center thing as the guy above me pointed out, you get ripped off for something that may not be new.  It would be better to save up over time and get it later in my opinion.

It's definitely worth getting by this fall.... so might as well get one now for the couple good games since the hardware is reliable (360 taught you about that it seems). Just charge it though.... credit card interest is a lot less than rent to own would be. Or get a new credit card with no interest for whatever months and not pay anything extra.

I would say the system is worth getting, but not through Rent-A-Scam.

If you don't have the money for it now, I'd hold off until you do and get one then. It is worth owning, definitely--awesome system, very reliable, the only two problems are the price and the current lack of games. I don't regret buying mine at all, but at the moment I do use it for playing PS2 games more than anything else. The games are coming, but if you don't have the money...you're probably better off waiting until you can afford it. It's a great system, but not worth going into debt over.

I've been thinking about renting to own one the past few days because frankly, $600 + tax + a game is hard to come up with at one time. But honestly, wouldn't you end up paying.... like.... over 2 grand for the thing? I remember looking at a PSP there when they first came out and after all of my payments, I would have paid $900 for the thing. LMAO.
