i have an hd tv and my ps3 works fine but i need it to work on my standerd tv for aa feew weeks, but for some reason after i hook it up to the tv with the red white and yellow cable that the ps3 came with all i get is a black screen can anyone help please????

when setting the system up for the first time if you tell it to output in a mode that you TV cant do it will give a black screen but usually after 10 seconds swtich back because you didnt see it's request to varify your choice and assumes you made the wrong one. unless you locked it in after the chance was made or something by accident.
