Hooking up the PSP to the TV

Can the PSP be (slim) be connected to a regular standard def TV? I was about to buy the cables, but the guy told me that you need a progressive scan TV to play games. Is that true?

It needs to be a HDTV otherwise it won't work. He's right, you do need a progressive scan tv.

i heard that too. 360 dies after some time so i don't wanna get xbox 360 anymore.
