statements like that make you sound like you are in the "teenage angst" years. the ds has more than it's fair share of games for younger kids, but also has a HUGE library of adult titles. trauma center, ninja gaiden, advance wars, hotel dusk, the brain age series, new york times crosswords, etc., etc. it's a very diverse library with some killer games. it's not a kiddy handheld just b/c YOU don't own one. anyway, danny, glad you are happy w/ your purchase. i'm thinking of upgrading my psp phat to the slim in the very near future. i keep hearing good things about it...

You could say that about any console. I like the PSP library of games. I'm an action oriented guy so there's much more for me in it's library than in the DS library.

1st of all thanks for all those replies above guys.

I actually had a hard time choosing between PSP or DS , i've surfed thru various forum for a definite answer regarding which to choose but everybody seems to have their choice of handheld. Some likes PSP , others DS.

So i checked thru all the games that interest me on both handhelds and found out that PSP games actually have more to offer. ACTUALLY , i'm a huge ZELDA fan and the Phantom Hourglass seems too good to pass up . Just the ZELDA titles itself made me purchase a N64 and GBA.

But this time i've decided to pass up the Phantom Hourglass for , in my opinion , a more solid handheld, the PSP. the wide screen and graphic differences played a huge part on my selection.

Once i checked those games in the PSP section i found out there are actually quite alot of good titles , such as FF crisis core , MGS series , God of War , Patapon, Winning Eleven ( Pro Evolution Soccer ) , Monster Hunter, Jeanne D'arc , Marvel Ultmate Alliance, Disgaea and 1 or 2 japanese titles such as the SUPER ROBOT WARS MX PORTABLE and HAJIME NO IPPO.

Due to the fact that i took Japanese classes for 1 year + - , i can partly understand some of the easier japanese games such as the Super Robot Wars title. Currently playing this game , which i borrowed from my former classmate. Check this game out on Youtube , it's addictive.

I'll be buying Final Fantasy Crisis Core once i'm done with the current game and i'm now enjoying every single moment playing the PSP. Hope you guys do too, PSP rocks!

PSP rox, DS possibly sux... No wait, Oh, The DS has the touch screen gimmick

Of cors that touch screen is way better than: the 5 times more powerful processor, more ram, bigger screen, TV out capability, killer graphics output, better sound, ps1 emulation, non-mario games.

Bad Danny! :P You can clearly see how bad of a choice u made :P

Comparing Apples to Oranges is not a valid form for arguements.

I own a DS and thinking of getting a PSP. Both have their Pros and Cons.

I perfer the psp, but that doesn't mean older kids can't play the ds. True it is for younger kids, but that doesn't change the fact that the games are more enjoyable.

At this point, I enjoy my PSP more than my DS, and I really only keep my DS for Castlevania games (both DS and GBA) and a few other GBA games such as metroid and FFVI. I sold all my DS games except 2 (both Castlevania games) and just keep buying games for the PSP. Overall, I think the PSP is better, but I really love Castlevania, so I'm going to keep my DS.

i also just got a PSP slim (sky blue star ocean edition) so far ive been loving castlevania dracula X. Still perfer my DS, (have over 20 games for it) DS will always remain # 1 because it adds a different, many times better play style that other systems can't provide,

I bought a PSP a couple of days ago and I have to say it's pretty damn impressive! I also picked up GTA:VC Stories, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Killzone: Liberation and God of War. I just tried out the Remote Play feature with the PS3 and I was amazed! Sony should really advertise this feature more.

All I have to say is that we'd better get some news of some worthwhile upcoming games soon, or I'm trading mine in for some PS3 or Wii stuff. It can't just be God of War and Crisis Core, and then crickets chirping til the fall.

When comparing h/w straight forward, they dont remain apple and oranges. They remain the same kinda fruit, which one is better and which is bad. I wanted 2 add a point for the ppl fighting here :P

It does become a case of apple and orange when we consider the game's library (which I was not discussing) since that is simply complementary for both of them.

im 21 yrs old, i bought a DS and was overwhelmed by its kiddie games, in a bad way, most of those games you metioned are not "adult games" c'mon man any adult that feels like playing new york times crosswords must be able to get a senior citizens disscount at their local groceries store, im glad i traded the DS in and now im paitently waiting for that gow red psp

lol... seriously man, just b/c you are old enough to drink now doesn't mean you should do it constantly. are you really unable to ignore games that don't appeal to you (kiddie games)??? ps2 had a TON of E-rated titles too and plenty of shovelware to boot...but that in no way meant that there wasn't quality, mature software for the console too. when you are the most popular/best selling console (or handheld, in the case of the ds), you get the good with the bad. while you get a ton of software, a good chunk tends not to be aimed at you. "Why?" you may ask....Well, b/c they have to make games for the rest of the millions of people who own the system and who may have different tastes than you. regardless, to call castlevania, trauma center, hotel dusk, advance wars, ninja gaiden, etc. to be "kiddie" is just an asinine statement. anyway, i hope you enjoy your red gow psp that you are "paitently" waiting for. you did say you are 21, right??? just making sure i'm not dyslexic or something...

ugh...buying a handheld just to play console games. c'mon... the psp library has many more gems than that. remote play is sweet though. i just wish they would have more titles that supported it.
