Making it more compact... Although the physical size of, say, Morrowind compared to Oblivion made it look like Oblivion had less to do, it certainly wasn't the case. As Rockstar always seems to put their all into the GTA games, I'm sure this will be a similar case, although, and this is reading too far into it, I do feel they are being pushed around by not having planes. When it comes down to it, the only reason for them not to have planes in the game is because Liberty City is based off New York City, and all of the most vocal opponents of GTA, video game violence, or video games in general (Jack Thompson), would be up in arms about you being able to re-create 9/11, even though most of them are ignorant to the fact that the game would be highly unlikely to allow structures to bend, buckle and break, burn and collapse in such a realistic fashion in such a way as to make it even close to possible for that to happen. More like you run into it, your plane would catch fire, and you'd nose-dive into the ground before exploding, leaving the building untouched. But... oh well. [/rant]
 Anyway, game looks like it'll kick ass regardless.
