Hey guys, what if we ask Sony for an update that when online thru the PS3 there is radio stations available for free!!!!, the PSP has them why not have it on the PS3 also !!!! this could be really cool!!!!, since it adds more features to one of our best friend the PS3 and it will make more fun to listen to stations all over the world for free! Let's ask Sony for this to be added on future updates, .....yeah!!!! radio on the PS3!!!!!.....(don't tell microsoft!);)

The major thing is that people don't really listen to radio much anymore.

You wanted in game music so you got it. Just rip tunes onto your PS3, the radio is a useless feature

i think apart from kiss fm, ur right in sayin no1 listens to the radio anymore, but this is because of the sheer poor quality radio stations out there.

if u look at the online radio stations, there are tens of thousands of them. and i for 1, love listening to radio stations that are specific to the music genres i like, (any kind of dance and electronica), alot of them dont even have ads in them and are just song after song mixed together.

it would be excellent if sony could incorporate a radio feature on the xmb; not in the internet browser (lets be honest the browser aint very good). i think sony would have to make it based on real player though (they cant really have wmplayer or winamp can they). or sony could make its own player, though radio stations would have to accomodate this new player which could take some time for ur favourite station to do.

Considering I enjoy songs from the 30-40ties, I'll most likely just have the In-game radio on when I get Fallout 3.
Besides a normal radio works just as well as a radio in a PS3, and it runs on batteries so there's no extra electricity expense.

Yes, I meant internet radio on the XMB bar not on the web browser, I don't agree people don't listen to radio anymore, there are tons of radio stations from all over the world and they all can be connected to the internet, and specially with no ads almost, of course some of you won't enjoy this feature, but a lot of us we do, I would like to get all of the full potential of the PS3 has for us, Sony knows, but we got to ask them!...and specially for the superiority and dominance of our lovely friend the PS3, I just want the PS3 to rule always! it already does!!!

well considering there is a web browser, you can go and listen to free radio stations already if you wanted to.

to be honest the function i am missing that is on psp and not the ps3 is the skype usage, i think it'd be awesome to use your bluetooth headset and your playstation eye with your skype account on your ps3, i just rescently signed up for skype and have been using it for all my at home phone calls through my psp, but yea internet radio would be cool too seems like it would be a fairly light update on the system

Eh, the PSP radio sucks... it's nothing but techno stations and 80's pop stations. It's a good idea, but I think it'll just get handled poorly anyway so forget it.

i listen to football matches on the radio sometimes, and the only way this could be done is through streaming, which the ps3 is already capable of doing, just isnt compatible with the feed files that most radio stations use now days.
