My question is simple. How are the turtle beach px21s? How's the sound quality, is it structurally sound, ect. I know they are compatable with the 360(which I would be getting them for) but I decided to ask Playstation nation first considering they are made for the PS3.

Work great for me. I use them on PC, PS3 and 360 and they sound good. The reviews on Amazon, Gamestop, etc are really varied.. But I take real good care of mine and they have surpassed my expectations. If you are going to get them just for 360 why not get the X41's or whatever the ones especially for 360 are called, should be cheaper.

My friend offered them to me for $45. I thought that was a good deal for a $80 headset as long as they are of good quality.

So, the audio connects via audio jack and the mic itself is USB? Or does it somehow send audio via USB as well? (as far as I knew, wasn't possible)

I've seen this for $89 at Walmart, pricey, but I'm also curious to see if it was worth it. I've got to look this up again myself. Are the components pretty cheap? Does the hub control seem real dinky and thin? Like it could crack with a simple drop?

Dunno how it works, but you plug in to USB and also to audio jacks in tv. Seems well built to me but I'm not going to test it lol, I got them for 60 on sale at GameStop, but I would of paid 90. So nice to have a decent headset after years of crap blue tooth.

Yeah, I just checked out their commercial on Youtube. Not bad actually. I've been meaning to get a set a headphone for home and figured "kill two birds with one stone". I'll have to keep this in my radar.

They are amazing. I bought a pair about two weeks ago and I had to go back and re-play a lot of my old games. The headset brings out things I've never heard before with my blu-tooth. The ability to turn up game volume and chat seperatley is awesome and the cord it comes with is gives you a LOT of room. Its even given me an edge in FPS games where you can clearly make out not just the footsteps and silenced gunfire, but also the direction its comming from. I'm not being sarcastic when I compare it to a car sterio vs a movie theatre sound system. Well worth the price and IMO, its one of the things you need to have with a PS3 next to an HDTV. Buy one and you won't regret it.

Don't headphones technically simulate surround sound already? Every headphone I've tested, played in all channels in different parts of the headset speaker. Surround Sound only applies to external speakers imo, all that is really just a fraud to get you to pay more money. Kind of like buying a "monster gold HDMI cable" for $150 when you can pay $20 for the exact same thing.

I bought these about 3 months ago. I needed something so I did not keep my wife and daughter awake. I just wanted something basic and not too expensive. I have used them every night since. People start throwing out, well Tritton is better, or Turtle Beach is better, and so on and so forth. First of all some of those headsets are insane in price. I bought these just to have something semi-decent and not expect too much from them from a mid priced headset. These headsets turned out to be one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. Feels light on my head and comfortable on my ears, good sound quality, seperate game sound and voice chat volumes, bass boost on/off switch and mic mute switch. For a mid priced headset you will not be disappointed.

PX21 is a very good headset, though mine have just recently broke after 2 months of ownership (Ear Muffs Somehow disconnected) Though, there probably not broken i just need to find how to reconnect them to the headset (The wire is what is connecting them to the headset)

Unless you are really concerned about sound quality, the PX-21 are fine. They give out good sound. However I have never heard what a more expensive headset sounds like, but after buying the PX-21 everything sounds fine to me. If you want to spend the extra cash go ahead, but I think you willnot be disappointed bythe Px-21.

Personally I bought this: http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/audio-processors/ear-force-dss.aspx

Like someone else mentioned I need something so I could enjoy my gaming without bothering my wife. I didn't want to go with a headset because I can use my own headphones. I've got a set that I love very much and feel very comfortable to me. Anyway, the sound this unit provides is incredible. Even on my cheap Sony's I'm noticing things I never picked up before, and a depth and richness of sound that just wasn't there before. One of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

Def not. Do some research on it and you'll see.
