in HOME. I mean if they expect to sell, say 4 million systems worldwide. and lets say half of them are online at once. Thats 2 million people in one area at one time? they never said they were having seperate servers , say one for the US , one for japan and so on. They said it will be a worldwide service. So how they hell are they fitting all these people on without making the frame rate plummet to its death.
well, assuming there are micro transactions, and at least 1 of the 4 million (we are actually talking upwards of 40 million in 5 years give or take) and each of the 1 million people pays at least $1 in transactions a month, then they are getting at least 1-2 million a month. that is PLENTY to run a server i would assume. and the more people that start paying, the bigger the servers get. Thats my assumption anyway. Plus I'm sure there will be some advertisements or something along those lines. Which I wouldn't mind.
well think about it, there are 4 million people on WOW and they all pay $14.99 , so that gievs u an idea of what it takes to run a good stable server, adn they have like 30 of them, casue they cant fit all those people on one server
