I have a 60 Gb model PS3, and am considering getting a larger HDD (hard disk drive). I wanted to hear from those who upgraded their hard drives, and know what's the biggest HDD that was stable in a PS3 system?

Iam considering getting between 300 and 500 Gb.

i put a 500gb hard drive in mine and have no problems i would say bigger is better because you can download to you're hearts content and not have to worry about running out of space and if you're game collection is huge you are covered.

If it doesn't fit than it's too big.

My 500GB works just fine. I heard Digital Western's 750GB and 1TB drives are too big though. I'm not even sure if they're on the market yet...but they're a little taller than standard 2.5" drives so it doesn't fit in the PS3 unfortunately.

As long as it's 2.5 inch SATA you should be fine.
