How Big is Your PS3's HDD Size?

I have 80GB fat PS3 which I bought in early 2009. And now the HDD I have just isn't enough to store all of my games and especially the mandatory installation from most PS3 games. Now I only have 10GB left, and that'll be filled with GT5 installation soon. So now I want to upgrade my HDD to around 500GB (I believe 640GB is the MAX we can do since 750GB+ 2.5" HDD are 12.4 mm high which won't fit into PS3 that only accept 9.5 mm high 2.5" HDD.

Have you upgraded your own PS3's HDD? If so how large is it?

BTW, I think I'll have problem with some save files like Killzone 2 save file which has copy protection and I fear I'll have to delete it along with all my other data in the HDD. I plan to transfer all my save files to PSP's MS which has 8GB capacity (not enough to boot up 70GB of all data on my PS3 anyway). Any solution?

My 60gb PS3 has a 250gb hdd, looking to upgrade soon, cuz I'm running out of space.

I sure do :D.. though yeah i need to focus on my last year in University now so no more gaming for like a year or so for me, i will keep on buying the games tho, i'll just get them and keep them till im done with my studies :). no more gaming sadly. gotta focus on university

500GB (un-formated) got sbout 400 GB left (i dont download much stuff)

5400 RPM

I was told 5400 RPM is the safest, anything above is pushing it, but i've also heard 7200 RPM work fine as well. (so i've read)

Eh, it'll be enough, I have 200GB free still. The reason I hunted for a 250 over a 120 is that I'd never have to upgrade it.

I have upgraded my ps3 to 250 gigs (40 gigs originally) and so far I have 125 gigs left to spare.

Other than game saves I don't store a ton on my HDD so my 160 gig is enough for me. I have about 118gb out of about the actual formatted capcity of 149gb

Right before Gamestop had theirs bundled in with FF:AC, too. :(

I suppose it serves it's purpose, but keeping space open is annoying.

Especially next Tuesday... LBP2, ME2, and DS2 demos. :?

The drive is a Seagate Momentus, must have a been a weird drive size cause they only sell them in 500, 750, 1TB now. Think I spent at most $50 on sale. Was a 5400 rpm SATA drive, also.
