just curious,so does this means that I can use the psp as a mobile phone in case this feature is realized??weijie86
Since the article mentions VoIP technology, my guess is that you'll be able to make calls from your PSP as long as you're in a WiFi hotspot. So the coverage will not be the same as a mobile phone, but still it is a pretty cool feature. If only Skype and Sony would work together....
this is a cool feature, but i dont think it would work out too well because it would require you to know where all the hotspots were just to make a phonecall, and usually theres a public phone nearby. This kinda reminds me of the sega 32x and sega CD, in terms of trying new things to prolong the psps life. It doesnt need this anyways, but its still neat
Nice find man, kudos to you.

I hope so too, but if this does happen to come along in the new model, then there should be some changes:This is not a new model feature; it is a software only VoIP feature.
No more umd's - and if this has to stay, then make the battery larger
A larger battery anyways
An easy to apply screen protecter (i hate those sticky ones, damn bubbles wont go away for me and i know its me thats the problem but haha somethin easier would be overall awsome)
and yeah, more basic things.
Phone calling on the psp would be neat, but most people already have a cell phone, and if they dont this is gonna be another trap to lure parents into buying it:P jeff16950_demon
