how do component cables work? plz help

Im just wondering can u plus component cables into the yellow red and white slots on my tv? or do i need component cable inputs?

No, component plugs into red/green/blue RCA slots. The red and white RCAs are for right and left (red seems to always be right in the audio world) analog audio. If you plug the Green component into the yellow RCA you should still get a squashed looking black and white image i think if you must.

nope, cuz then you would still need extra slots for the red, green, and blue cables, and component cables don't use yellow jacks.

So yea you need component cable inputs.

If your TV doesn't have component inputs - you need to get a "composite" video cable - that's the one with a red/white for audio and a yellow for video. The image won't be as good as if you use component - but use whatever input your TV has.
