Hello everyone I have 2 PS3's and both of my profiles are on my PS3's. I was wondering how can i delete my profile(username) on the PS3 that I don't use because I'm going to sell it and I don't want anyone messing with my profile or trophies etc. Because when I choose delete it says that if I delete than all my information tied to the profile including trophies level, etc will be erased. So if I delete my profile from the PS3 that I don't use will the profile on my PS3 that I do use be deleted as well?

So can anyone help me please. Thanks.

just go make a dummy account on the ps3 your going to sell. then just delete your main profile. think you do it all the way to left where it shows those smiley faces. where mine would show my account name. think triangle bring up the options.

do you know what im talking about when i say go over to the square like smiley faces. on mine i have like 3 names on mine. one for each place. like japan, usa *which is my main* uk. and i got 2 friends names on there. because we shared some games. each one has a name over there but they aint the same name as my psn name that people see me online useing. go ahead and add another user then let me know after your done.

my friend deleted my acount from his ps3 and i never lost anything. you just have to delete it over there where you make a new user. make a dummy user sign into him then click on your old one and delte it.

if you delete an account you will not be able to view the trophies you've earned on it on your ps3, however the trophies are linked to that account and will never go away... if you create a new account then you will have no trophies, since you haven't earned any on that account... eg. if you have two accounts on your ps3 with different trophies won, then only the trophies on the logged in account will be shown under the trophies section...

Dread, just highlight your user i that menu, hit triangle and select "delete". When it says it will delete trophy information it is just on that system- your trophies are tied to your account and you have those synced up to the PS3 you are using so you won't lose anything.
